Window Well Drain System

The window well drain system used by SKV Construction is a unique way of draining water from the window well.  The system prevents that water from flowing down the basement wall into your basement.  Water in your basement will create a serious moisture problem. Moisture problems can lead to mold growth (which necessitates basement mold removal).

If your basement is finished with paneling or drywall, water may seep behind the paneling or drywall.  You will have wet drywall, mold, and mildew problems.

As illustrated in the photo below, a simple plumbing design combined with a screen in the window well prevents debris from clogging the system.  The water is collected by the plumbing system and funneled to the basement drain.
